Halloween weekend!

Halloween weekend! It actually falls on Wednesday but everybody 'celebrates' prior since no races are on that day.

Saturday agenda-race?

Here is what I considered for the last Saturday of the month:

1. super hero flash dash
2. trick or trot 5k
3. rescue 5k
4. down2earth half
5. Miami beach Halloween half and 4 miler

Although the latter was closest in proximity, I chose #2 because I never did it before. Clint time:

The good: podium (treat), finisher medal
The bad: 3rd age (I like to win)
The ugly: humidity hidden with cool start

Sunday agenda-race?

Here is what I considered for the last Sunday of the month:

1. marine corps marathon
2. treasure coast Halloween half
3. wellington 10 miler and 5k
4. spooktacular 5k

While I have done and enjoyed the former, I passed on that (out of FL). Although not close, the latter was the closest in proximity. Eastwood time:

The good: podium (treat), finisher prize, weather
The bad: 2nd age (I like to win)
The ugly: late start (8 am), the course (riddled with twist and turns (tricks)

I feel so blessed to close out the month on the podium twice on the same weekend!

Heres what I found for today:

1. Brooklyn marathon
2. Jacksonville half
3. every boob counts
4. race for the cure 5k
5. family fun 5k

You can automatically rule out the former (out of FL). I went to the latter (closest in proximity) but made a tactical error and arrived with only 5 minutes to the start (began at 7 instead of 7:30 or 8 as I thought), therefore I didn't run since there were no more bibs & they wouldn't give me a t shirt.

Sunday agenda-race?

1. rnr Denver half
2. Detroit marathon
3. Rocktoberfest 10 miler
4. step up 4 downs syndrome.

You can automatically rule out the former 2(out of FL); I picked the latter (closest in proximity). Eastwood time:

The good: podium, top dozen
The bad: 2nd age (I like to win), no finisher medal
The ugly: late start (8:30), weather (humid)

Columbus day weekend! It is also the first weekend of the month.

Here is what I considered for the first Saturday of the month:

1. hard rock half, pink panther 5k/10k
2. stronger than cancer 5k
3. hustle 2 end hunger 5k
4. light ones path 5k
5. zoo run 5k

While the latter was the closest in proximity, I wound up doing the former (furthest). Clint time:

The good: top ten, won age group, finisher medal
The bad: time, generic style award
The ugly: racist indian wanted to limit me to 1 bread while allowing 2+ for everybody else

1. Chicago marathon
2. dunn's run
3. parkland 5 mile/5k

You can automatically rule out the former (out of FL). The next was cancelled due to red tide, leaving the latter. I completed 5 miles but didn't compete, so therefore no award.
