St paddy's weekend!

St paddy's weekend! Saint Patrick's day fell on Saturday this year.

Saturday agenda-race?

Here is what I considered for this day:

1. the Brooklyn spring half
2. music city half, 10k, 5k
3. Clewiston sugar festival 5k
4. shamrock run (10 miler and 5k)
5. st patricks 10k
6. march 4 a cure 5k

You can automatically rule out the first 2 (out of FL). The latter was closest in proximity; up the list goes further away. Due to the race the following day, I picked the 5k (#4) to train walking because that event takes me 1/3 to halfway to destination.

Sunday agenda-race?

Here is what I saw for this day:

1. wine country runs half and 5k
2. publix Georgia half
3. Sarasota half and relay
4. marco island half
5. excaliber 10 miler and 2 mile dragon slayer
6. ives 5k

You can automatically rule out the first 2 (out of FL). The latter was closest in proximity but I already pre-registered for #5, which is a 4 part series; the 3rd earns the royal crown! I was off almost 2 minutes from last year but got what I what I came for-the finisher medal and series crown!!
