Summer solstice 13

Summer solstice is here! As of today, it is now officially how it has felt for weeks already-summer! Speaking of Miami heat, the team won its 3rd title and only 1 of 6 teams to repeat back to back

Saturday agenda-race!

I found some events to kick off the summer:

1. color me rad 5k CD, UT, NY
2. Spartan race CD, UT
3. rnr Seattle
4. sugden stride 5k
5. singer island du/tri
6. triumph 5k

You can automatically rule out the first 3 (out of FL). The most logical would be the latter (closest in proximity) and #5, next, but I chose to return to the elite 5k series (furthest of FL races).

Let's do my famous Clint Eastwood synopsis

The good: won age group, new award (glass bottle)
The bad: not in top ten, hot & humid
The ugly: time, overall female got past me

Fyi: I carpooled with the master champ Jon and together we represented runner's depot and Miami at the same dang time!

Sunday agenda-race?

Poor selection reflects the racing drought:

1. Spartan race CD
2. trail run 5k/10k/half

You can automatically rule out the former (out of FL). I cant afford to risk injury, so I also passed on the latter, which means no race! I opted to train instead. I planned on skating but with the ground wet, I rode over a half marathon instead.
