I did the latter. Clint time:

the good: finished; not hot

the bad: too cold for me (mid 30's)

the ugly: would've been 2nd in 5 yr age group but instead no podium in ten

I did the former. Clint time:

the good: cool start, 'ran' first mile, got best original costume award.

the bad: basically walked last 2 miles

the ugly: no where near podium despite better age groups
